Volunteer InformationARO is currently working on creating written materials, so the volunteer work that is needed now is just research work which can be very time consuming, especially since it is often very difficult to find good sources of information for topics related to animal rights. If you are interested in helping out with this, then you will need to have quite a bit of free time in your life and you will need to be fairly good at doing research work or be willing to teach yourself some research skills (libririans can be quite helpful with doing this). You will also probably have to do research work by yourself unless there are some ARO volunteers that decide they want to coordinate their schedules so that they can work together on research. If you volunteer to do some research, you will have to live with the possibility that the information you dig up will not be used if it doesn't turn out to fit in very well with ARO written materials (this kind of thing happens quite a bit for anyone doing research). ARO is also seeking out food industry photographs, fur industry photographs and photographs of animals that are often used for food that are enjoying life (playing, licking each other, etc) so if you have some influence over certain organizations or people that have these kinds of photographs and you are willing to try to convince them to let ARO use some of these photographs then please send a note to ARO (click here to find out how to reach ARO). If you want to receive occasional emaail updates about volunteer opportunities at Animal Rights Outreach then you can subscribe to the ARO General Emaail Update List by sending an emaail to volunteerUpdates#ARoutreach.aaa (replace # with @ and replace aaa with org) and entering your emaail address as the subject of the emaail (you can send a blank emaail or write a note in the emaail) If you want to unsubscribe from the ARO General Emaail Update List then send an emaail to volunteerUpdates-unsubscribe#ARoutreach.aaa (replace # with @ and replace aaa with org) and enter your emaail address as the subject of the emaail. |
